Welcome to Inbox, our weekly round up of whisky news and PR material that has found its way in to our WFE email. It was created as we cannot write full articles or do justice to every piece received. It features items from around the world of whisky and is published by us each Friday. Within Inbox we aim to write a few lines detailing each press release/piece of news/PR event that we have received and provide links, where possible, for you to find out further information.

Review - The Glen Moray Distillery Editions 2020
These three new whiskies have been released to help fans and collectors who cannot visit the Glen Moray distillery in Elgin this year due to the worldwide coronavirus pandemic. The trio of Distillery Edition single cask single malts, which would usually have been visitor centre exclusives, have all been matured in ex-wine casks - Burgundy, Chardonnay and Chenin Blanc - and selected by Dr. Kirstie McCallum, the Head of Whisky Creation at Glen Moray. They are all released at their natural cask strengths and are non chill-filtered and of natural colour. All were distilled in either 2003 or 2004.

Review - Oban Old Teddy
The Old Teddy is the latest exclusive limited edition single malt from the Highland distillery of Oban and will only be available in the distillery visitor centre. The new whisky has been created to pay homage to the Macleans, a family that have given three generations of service to the distillery. This started with 'Old Teddy' in 1953, who worked his way up to become Master Distiller. He was followed by his son 'Young Teddy' in 1985. Young Teddy's son Derek then joined the distillery team in 2017 and continues to work at Oban today.

Review - Glenturret The Brock Malloy Edition Cask #328
The Glenturret distillery, which is located in the Highlands and is the spiritual home of The Famous Grouse blend, has released this single cask bottling. The Brock Malloy Edition Cask #328 is named after legendary Glenturret stillmen Chic Brock and Hugh Malloy, who produced the spirit and filled it to cask in December 1986. It has been maturing at the distillery ever since and was identified by current distillery manager, Neil Cameron, as being one of the best and oldest remaining in the warehouses. The decision was taken to bottle it to celebrate the work of the two men. Bottles are only available via the The Famous Grouse Experience website or by visiting the distillery.
