James Saxon - Scotch Odyssey
Since beginning their democratic investigation into whiskies of the world in 2008, Whisky For Everyone has become my go-to blog for incredibly in-depth reviews, the latest news and always informed comment. With the same zeal today to discover more about the spirit, Karen and Matt are a credit to the industry and those who endeavour to write about it.
Luke O'Mahoney - Penderyn
We first met Matt and Karen when they came down to visit the distillery back in 2010. Showing them around was a pleasure and we’ve been in touch ever since: whether it’s hosting journalist tastings (as seen in The Guardian), asking their readers for feedback on our products or just bouncing ideas off them, we’ve never been disappointed. From the reaction we get when we get a mention in the blog, it’s clearly influential and has a great readership, and the site’s name really does ring true: expect first-rate whisky information without the snobbery.
Malt Whisky Yearbook 2010
Matt and Karen, the founders, review whiskies affordable and available to anyone. The blog is supplemented by the website with the ambitious goal of presenting the world of whisky in an understandable and easy-to-grasp way. They are aiming at beginners but there is something for everyone - just as the name says.
Doug Stone - For Whiskey Lovers
I want to congratulate the entire Whisky For Everyone team for winning a 2013 Drammie Award for Best Information Source.
In much the same vein as the People's Choice Awards, the mission of the Drammie Awards is to put the power of “recognition” in the hands of the whiskey enthusiast, and we humbly believe there is no more important accolade a brand can receive. With over 5,000 votes cast this year, from eight different countries around the world, Whisky For Everyone has clearly demonstrated its appeal to the whisky enthusiast.
